Aris Balatsoukas is a mucic composer and performer based in Vienna and Athens.

He started playing music as a self taught musician from his very early age.

Later on he studied classical guitar at the National Conservatory of Athens with Michalis Karakontis and Orchestration in music composition with Nickos Harizanos.

Being born and raised in Greece he received influence from Western and Eastern culture as well as traditional music from the Balkans and the Mediterranean region.

He studies and plays ney or nay, a reed flute found in the musical essence of every tradition from the edges of the Aegean sea until the edges of India.

His compositions  expand from classical formatted structures to electronical multilayer soundscapes reaching out until the vintage electrical  edge of his musical experience.

As a performer he represents music from Latin America, Spain, Greece as well as classical music collaborating with several other musicians.

In his solo concerts he represents music from Latin America, Spain and improvisations in many different styles of music.
